February 2014 News

from Mary & Alan
at the Carlisle House

Celebrations seem to be an almost everyday event at the Carlisle House! This month we celebrate St Valentine's Day, in March we celebrate buying the Carlisle House and also the release of a new book by one of our regular guests.

Easter is in April, May is Dickinson College Graduation month, June is the All-Ford Nationals Downtown Parade and Street Party.

Carlisle Summerfair stretches from June through Independence Day, then there is Bluegrass on the Grass, AND we hear that there will be a Chrysler Parade and Street Party also in July...

At the Professional Association of Innkeepers Conference celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the day we offered to buy the Carlisle House!!

In August the US Army County Fair and the Corvette Parade and Street Party come along! (And it's also Alan's birthday month. But no, he isn't getting a Corvette as a gift!) As of this newsletter we have just four rooms left for the Corvette Show weekend!
But we haven't finished yet! September includes the Dickinson Homecoming Weekend and the Harvest of the Arts Festival, with October bringing Columbus Day and the Hallowe'en Parade. November brings the excitement (!) of Election Day, the calm of Veteran's Day, and of course Thanksgiving, with December's three events of Hanukkah, Christmas, and First Night Carlisle. Phew! And those are just the major occasions, Our Events Calendar below gives you many choices of things to do over the next couple of months.

Our First-ever Facebook Competition

YOU could soon be celebrating with a free night at the Carlisle House, because for fun we decided to hold a competition for our Facebook "friends"!
